A wonder re-shoot done while I was in an all week’s Master class in Drexel University (Philadelphia)
with Arts of Fashion.
Crochet piece hand crocheted by me in Brussels, Belgium summer of 2009 at La Cambre.
Skirt also made by me using Japanese pattern making techniques.
Enjoy, this is one of my favorite shoots.

This Monday, we shot for our new brand NYX in Pigment Cosmetics in San Francisco. We had pieces from our swim and casualwear collections featuring grunge and organic designs. This is one of many new textile and print collections to come.
Another behind the scenes look with our shoot with Ryuuzaki Photography before they move productions to Los Angeles!

It’s been a while. I’ve been busy with school, designing textiles, knitwear, and various collections. Please check the our new mini collections collections and designs. I will be updating the website and adding more content to the blog. Visit the blog here or follow NIKA TANG on Facebook. Plenty more to come very soon!
Inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night, is the minicollection of three silk dupioni dresses, with braided elements, piped edges and sequin touches. The set was beautifully shot by Ryuuzaki Photography in the Legion of Honor.
In our constant mission to experiment with different styles, and techniques, came the second set in black lace with Victorian influences, green satin with all over chantilly lace and the last green piece in organic cut-out shapes working with negative space on the body.
The last three images are a collection inspired by Aeon Flux. The structured jackets and tailoring exhibit a dark warrior style, utilizing PVC, satin, dupioni, silk, leather and cotton.

Urban Samurai has been submitted to the Gen Art’s “Plastics Make it Possible” competition.
Please VOTE for it!
“Urban Samurai” by Nika Tang is a modern collection incorporating the colors and balance of the Japanese samurai and elements that gives a masculine interpretation of feminine pieces. The urban samurai is strong, sophisticated and elegant. Here are two concept pieces that will spring off a more wearable and versatile womenswear collection for Fall 2010, taking on the clean mix of Japanese inspired wool prints, soft, delicate mohair fabric and contours and lines of a modern warrior look.
Whether you know me personally, through work, or only as a stranger, please give an honest vote and write some feedback. I need 5 votes to be participating. I hope to get more, and especially your comments are invaluable. You have to be logged in to give a vote, but registration is free and it’s a great website.
